Sobriety to me is being content with who you are. As you are. Right now.

Health Heroes! 🦸‍♀️

Let’s talk sobriety!

To be Sober means:  become more serious, sensible, and solemn.

Solemn means: characterized by deep sincerity.

Sincerity means: the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy.

Sobriety to me is being content with who you are. As you are. Right now.

Sobriety is a deep trust. In yourself. In god. In life.

It’s saying “no” to that short term feel good chemical and “yes” to long term happiness.

Sobriety is having true confidence.

I don’t know about you, but I love being “the different one”.

I love being the one talking about deep meaningful stuff in small places.

I love showing the world that you don’t need to be on a substance to have fun!

These days. I feel like the sober are far and in between.

When I look around me at social gatherings, I would say a good 90% of people are partaking in some sort of mind altering substance.

Why is this?

It has me looking into the deeper agenda that is going on in the world.

The agenda to keep us numb and complacent.

To keep us in bondage.

In need.

Does drug consumption fall into this agenda?

It’s almost as though drug usage is the new “normal”.

Why do we need drugs to interact?

What is wrong with us the way we are right now in this moment?

Completely raw, open, ourselves?

Why is this so hard?

These are the questions that are running through my head.

I can’t help but feel sad when I see everyone needing something to make themselves feel better and/or different than what they are.

I understand the lure. Very well. I know how good it feels in the moment.

But I also understand that when you consume these substances (in excess and even just a little bit) you are borrowing from tomorrow’s energy.

And this aspect of using substances is unattractive to me.

Because at the end of the day my goal is to “Wake up and Feel Good” and substances are just not supportive of that.

Everything we do today either supports or doesn’t support waking up and feeling good tomorrow.

What’s one thing that you are going to do today (or not do) to ensure that you wake up tomorrow and feel good?!
